5 Reasons You Should Goal Set in Silence and Let Your Results Do All The Talking

Have you ever watched or listened to someone tell all of their moves, but have yet to see what all the fuss was about? Have you ever set back and watched someone spill every sip of their tea and never really quench their thirst? I’m sure we all have seen it and at one point or another have become guilty of talking too much. In your season of growth and finding, you know the point where the idea finally clicks and you’re ready to start slaying your goals? It’s easy to want to tell the world what your going to do and how you’re going to do it. Although hearing your ideas aloud sometimes makes you feel that the universe has to grant your wishes, hopes and dreams, it actually can often do the opposite. Let’s talk about why reals “G’s” move in silence.

Haters and “Fail” Wishers

The number one reason to keep your goals to yourself until you accomplish them is keeping good JuJu on your side. Often times we confide in the wrong people who we naively think are rooting for us, but secretly are begging the hater Gods to throw a monkey wrench in our plans. These people drag a dark energy around you and make it much harder for you to succeed. Planning and prepping in peace helps your juices flow. When you don’t have to worry about who is working against you behind the scenes you feel safe and secure and you can put your energy into how you are going to bring your dreams to reality instead of how you are going rebuttal any distraction purposely tossed your way.

Copy Cats

Not everybody is creative or original and they slither around looking for a wave to latch onto. Copy Cats come in all shapes and shades and pounce on any good idea they couldn’t come up with. Nothings fair in work and war! Don’t be so quick to spill the beans. You might come across someone who likes your ideas a little too much. If they have the financial backing you may not have yet or connections you haven’t made you could see your ideas in lights but with someone else getting the praise. The process of trying to prove something is yours after someone else has released it is a whole headache in itself and can be avoided. Put your idea together and confide in a notebook you lock away. When every piece is together and ready to release, do it with confidence.

Con-Artist

A Con-Artist for the sake of this article is a doubter. That person who comes up with every "Con" they can think of as to why your idea wont work. These people don’t quite have the balls to be a Copy Cat, but are jealous of the success they know your goal will bring you. People like this will smack their lips, roll their eyes and make you second guess everything you believe is great about your journey. Sometimes these individuals win, but they can only win if you give up. DON’T LET THEM WIN! Don’t even give them a chance. We all know who our supporters are and who the Con-Artist are. That in itself should let you know who to trust.

Pressure

There is a certain pressure that comes with any big announcement. As soon as you start to put those around you on notice about your intents you create an audience. Yes, having followers is a great thing, but only if you are ready for it. If you start creating a scene before you have anything to show people will lose interest. Putting pressure on you to finish before you're ready can result in a rushed product. Take your time while keeping your moves to yourself. That way the only pressure you feel will come from you. You will be able to move at your own pace, follow your own agenda and let progress happen naturally.

The Main event

What’s better than the main event? Nothing! Having the opportunity to watch everything you work so hard on come together just the way you wanted and planned is one of the best feelings in the world. Taking everyone by surprise is an even better accomplishment in itself. Hold on tight to your goals until the very end and release them when you are ready. Block out the hate and the doubt. Do things on your time and in its own right. Be careful who you talk to and who you let in. Plan something big and give it 100%. Surprises and celebrations all in one is as good a ice cream sandwich on a hot sunny day.
